Netizen appeals for kinder treatment for food delivery staff
A netizen on Facebook recently posted her sentiments on her status after observing food delivery riders waiting for a long time under the scorching heat of the sun in front of a condominium unit in Manila.
Facebook user Patience Gabrielle Rubio, who was also waiting outside the building for a cab, said that it was obvious that the delivery guys were very uncomfortable because of the heat and one even remarked: “ANG INET UTANG NA LOOB BUMABA NA KYO”. Patience said that these were words that the delivery guys could not utter directly in front of their customers but spoke volumes about how hard their jobs were.
This compelled her to post an appeal on her wall to customers of delivery services:
“Just so u know some of them are minimum earners, hindi sapat un para magkaron ng extra expenses pag nagkasakit sila. So please let this be a reminder na if you feel ur time is important their time and health is important too.
Lets all be RESPONSIBLE CONSUMERS,” she said.
