This Chinese cafeteria has cashier-less check outs
You’ve heard of cash less transactions but have you ever heard of cashier less transactions. We’ve recently heard of fastfood and restaurants migrating to electronic order taking but they still needs cashiers to accept payments prior to the release of the purchase.
However, in this cafeteria, students or employees line up to get their food from the counter and proceed to get them scanned at the electronic cashier. It then computes the amount that is owed and the customer scans his or her ID for e-payment.
It was not clear if the cashier less check out was for a Chinese university or company but it got redditors thinking how it was possible. A lot speculated that the counter scans for the items and bills accordingly while some theorized that it was more of a set price programmed into the device.
Its still cool and amazing however they came up with it. (ANGEL ONG)
