Kulas gears for a year of travel and adventure in the Philippines

Canadian vlogger Kyle Jennerman, locally known as Kulas is gearing to spend more time in the country as he capped off 2018 alternating between his native country, Canada and his adoptive one, the Philippines.

The vlogger recently shared his excitement about arriving back in Manila in one of his posts and said that he is more than psyched to have adventures with his local friends one day at a time. Its not like he spent a lot of time away. Last year, he might have spent more time travelling in the country than back at home. He is a bigger ambassador of Filipino culture than some celebrities.

He is so well loved in Cagayan de Oro, which he considers second home that the local ginaggang vendor made good on his promise to make Kulas his official endorser.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED!! “Bahalag Saging, Basta Loving” I AM OFFICIALLY A GINANGGANG ENDORSER AND COULDN’T BE PROUDER! I have been visiting this simple ginanggang stand in #CagayandeOro, #Mindanao for years. It is THE BEST ginanggang in the city, and truly my favourite Filipino snack. Over the years I have built up a “suki relationship” with the owners. At first, they would always get confused and wonder why I would take videos of their stand. Then they started following me online, and became friends. Truth be told… I can’t even remember their names. They are “Ate and Kuya” to me. As is common in “suki culture” here in the Philippines! You remember by face 🙂 Anyways, a few weeks ago I visited the stand and we started joking around with the saying “bahalag saging, basta loving”. Kuya asked if he could take my picture and use it on his stand… Of course I said okay! But never did I ever imagine they would do it! YUP! I ENDORSE THIS GINANGGANG STAND BY COGON MARKET IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY. And not a chance am I accepting any freebies for it… Proud to pay 10 pesos per saging! I just bought six today! Come and get yours while they are hot… #SuperApir #BecomingFilipino

What’s a visit to the Philippines without tropical fruits like the pomelo and manggang hilaw complete with bagoong?

Even in Manila, he finds favorites like Rico’s Kare Kare Lechon to satisfy his palette with Pinoy food.

Cheers to an adventurous 2019, Kulas! You know Pinoys love you!
